Usually when we renovate it's full of surprises/problems which you don't want!
This month was the opposite when it came to removing the carpet from Bedroom 5 which is soon to become 'Violet'. YES, we are finally changing the numbers on the bedroom doors to names, something we've wanted to do from day 1!
We discovered under the delightful carpet these beautiful original Edwardian tiles. We'll be ordering custom made/cut toughened glass to place on top of them to protect them which we plan to do next month but until then we will continue to keep cleaning them - they were very very dirty when we discovered them.
Fingers crossed Bedroom 4 is the same when we get to that room! 🔥

At the end of 2025 we took the time to read through our 2025 reviews in our little black book. We are so thankful to everyone who took the time to leave feedback and all of the reviews were full of love and positivity - so wonderful to read.

At the end of 2025 we had our professional Fire Risk Assessment completed on Park Hall. 🔥🔥🔥
Luckily there were no surprises, in the past 5 years we've spoken to our local Fire Officer, we are listed as a commercial building so we already are subjected to regular checks, so have already made many changes.
We have the most state of the art Fire alarm system (which can have its disadvantages for our guests in the kitchen!😆)
There's still more to do but there is an end in sight - the report gave us some things to think about but Park Hall will always benefit from these changes.
