Environmental Policy – Park Hall - Cwmtydu

Park Hall, built in 1912, is an Edwardian property situated in its own extensive grounds, overlooking the cove. It is located in the small hamlet of Cwmtydu on the Ceredigion Heritage Coast.

The property, open all year round, caters for parties of up to 20 people (maximum – 18 adults). Park Hall has been operated as a self-catering property for several years, since 2018 by Claire and Andreas Nita.

Whilst recognising that the business already has a minimal impact on the environment, we continue to strive to maintain and improve on this situation.

We are committed to the principles of the “three R’s” – reduce, reuse, recycle and strive to achieve this by:

• providing guests with the opportunity to enjoy the natural environment in a way that has minimum impact,

• continually monitoring and reviewing the amount of waste generated with a commitment to the reduction of all pollution.

• encouraging and making provision for the recycling and segregation of waste.

• developing objectives and targets for minimising the amount of water and energy consumed and CO2 produced.

• ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental legislation.

• considering environmental issues in all decision making.

• informing guests and staff about environmental issues that may affect them and the property.

• offering the opportunity to experience the unique culture and heritage the area provides.

This environmental policy will be reviewed and updated annually. A copy of the policy is available for all interested parties.
